The Logic of FEAR by Tim Parkinson
Having traveled to a vacation location for the first time in a number of years, I noticed that there are many people living under a spirit of fear.
Are they justified in living this way?
Where does this fear come from?
Let’s talk external fears – pandemic, economy, crime, war
How about internal fears – personal health, security, prosperity, being alone,
Have other generations lived like this?
We need to stop and ask ourselves: Where do I stand in my beliefs about these conditions?
This is why reading God’s word daily and going to church is so important to each of our lives. We have to know what we believe and where our faith is.
Another Thought
Is anyone benefiting from populations that live in fear?
Does anyone want it to continue.
How long will these fears last and should we proceed?
How to or is there even a return to normalcy?
Jesus said that in the end times,
Luk 21:26a Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth.
One of Jesus’ objectives in coming into this earthly realm is revealed in the book of Hebrews.
Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
And because we’ve been made Sons…
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Are you in bondage to the fear of death?
This is Jesus Christ speaking:
Rev 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
As we read these words, the clouds of fear starts to dissipate, so we can see this beautiful world that we can enjoy, because people fear what they can’t see.
Why do people fear?
Fear is from a reasonable thought, which needs no action or us getting involved.
When you have a fearful thought, you usually keep it to yourself. That’s logical. If you’re don’t mention it to anyone, it’ll probably just go away, right? Wrong. You might be on your way to being in bondage to fear, if you don’t know God’s word.
Let’s learn about the logic of fear.
Gen 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Gen 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and e.
Gen 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
The first mention of fear in the Bible(and the first transferring of blame).
Gen 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
These 2 things always go together, fear and blame, but that’s not our topic.
The logic of fear says, I am afraid and here is why. Here’s where a liar sees his opportunity to control you.
From the dictionary: Logic is the science that investigates the principles governing (correct or reliable) inference.
Logic relates to current conditions, not facts.
Adam was afraid to be naked before God, because someone told him he should be afraid.
God understood this.
That’s like a child using profanity, somebody told them a dirty word and say it. They certainly didn’t hear it from the God. Bad language also reveals the depth of a person’s fallen state.
These are the different kinds of fear we find in the Bible:
Fear of God (the Lord)
Fear of Death
Fear of Man
Fear of the Enemy
Fear of Evil
Fears of Briers and Thorns
Fear of Torment
Except for the Fear of the Lord, which is good, God gives us power (authority) over all the others.
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The logic of fear tells you that you should be afraid.
If you sense a spirit of fear coming to you, Here’s a question to ask yourself, “How many times has the thing you feared actually happened?”
Percentages
Let’s get a consensus. Percentage-wise. Show of hands. Let’s start at 50%. 50% of things you feared actually happened to you when you were afraid of it?
When we go just one percentage point lower, (there’s a greater chance that it won’t happen than it will). 49%?
Say this out loud, there’s a greater chance that it won’t happen, than it will.
When people gamble, is there a greater chance that they will lose? Then why do it?
That begins to put things in perspective, doesn’t it?
If you watch the national news, do they mention any percentages?
The weather reports do and how often are they correct?
I’ve noticed the news often quoting the amount of people that are afraid. They must be their viewership, otherwise people wouldn’t know what everyone else is afraid of.
Being afraid of a shortage causes mass purchases, but who is that bad for and who is it good for?
Being afraid of a predicted storm is always good for selling advertising for the weather/ news channels.
In retrospect, how bad was the toilet paper crisis for everybody? Are these inflated gas prices bad for everyone? How about the gas companies and Saudi Arabia?
Was the fear of the pandemic bad for everyone?
How about the fear of war?
Is there a possibility that there might be people who want you afraid?
Are you going to listen to what they tell you to fear, any of it? It’s a choice.
Fear Mongering
Is there a method that these fear mongers use?
Satan told the humans that they weren’t getting the whole story and God was trying to hold them back. He created suspicion.
Tune into KDVL for your news!
Then he urged them into taking action on their own, causing separation and division from God.
Those churches are just trying to give you false hope. Trust me, take the shot! Follow the science!
After separation, when individuals are alone, they’re ready for messages fear and accusation.
No leaving your home, it’s for everybody’s good, especially the children!
Then bondage to fear of death comes and stays (until it’s removed by another thought or idea).
Who controls the power of life & death?

How to remain free from the controlling bondage of Fear.
#1 I personally stopped listening to the fear mongering media. I canceled them.
Logically, they are wrong more than they are right and what they say happened or will happen is seldom accurate. I lived half my life without 24 hr news and I can live the rest without it, too.
If fear tries to sneak into my thoughts, I will read our scripture in Hebrews Chapter 2 out loud and tell that voice in my head that I don’t believe a word of what it’s saying and that I’m building my home on the rock of God’s word.
#2 I stay connected to believers who will pray and stand with me. I go to church. I don’t remain isolated from people. I make sure to spend more time worshipping than worrying.
#3 In times of tribulation, I will remember not to make hasty decisions, simply because I’ve seen the folly of following the crowd. I might read Psalm 91 out loud, making it personal. Plus, I audibly cast my cares on the Lord, because He cares for me. I tell him He’s all I need.
#4 I state out loud faith filled words to replace the fear filled words I heard. I will do this until I can just ignore the fear words and they have no effect on me. Until it’s not logical to be afraid.
Don’t be deceived, fear has a name, it’s not just in your mind.
Speak to each of your fears by name and tell them, out loud, it’s not logical to listen to them.
